Hey, if you leave kudos and comments you are contributing and bringing much joy, OP. Even if you aren't doing anything though, who cares? Fandom is to have fun. Enjoy! :)

I'm typically a fanfic writer, but for alllll of 2020, I couldn't do shit except support my friends. It was frustrating not being able to do my own thing, but they were all grateful for it, and I'm sure if you like/reblog/comment/whatever on other peoples' stuff they'll appreciate it too.

That picture of Milhouse perfectly compliments your secret, OP. For what it's worth, I think it's perfectly okay to be a part of a fandom without contributing fanworks and I don't think you should feel bad about it. I like/comment/reblog stuff, but I rarely write fics. I've started writing one recently, but it's only because I really like the pairing and feel they have a lot of potential that hasn't been fully explored in canon, so I want to do something with it. The last fic I wrote before this one was posted about fifteen years ago, so yeah.

Most people in a fandom don't make stuff! A fandom would be nothing without people to read fic and enjoy art. It makes me happy that when I do these things in a fandom (and I don't in all of them, at all) someone consumes and hopefully enjoys the work.

This is like saying you can't love a TV show if you don't write a TV show. Most of us are audience/appreciators. :D

Aw, OP, you don't owe fandom anything. Fandom is for you to enjoy, however you enjoy it. It isn't a job or an obligation. Be there, enjoy watching the fun, learn the joys of lurkerdom. It's all good!
