(Anonymous) 2021-02-05 02:51 am (UTC)(link)The second relatable point- Growing up and beyond, most people don't really get obsessing over a show or a film to the degree that fandom folk do. I found myself feigning crushes on actors and musicians only to make my hobby easier to understand for the average joe, especially in my younger years where I endeavored not to make any waves or stand out too much. Looking at it now, I feel like it's simply a case of different strokes/different folks. Consuming entertainment in very different ways. I know I've been in the reverse situation, where someone professed to be a big fan of a show I really liked, only to find out they were madly in love with one of the lead actors and could barely articulate what the show was even about. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
