Re: What do you want a remake of?

Buck Rogers.

Which is apparently maybe going to happen? I'd been rewatching the old series (which was one of my favorite shows when I was a little kid) and exclaiming over it for the last year, and got another friend started rewatching it, and the other day she linked an article saying something about George Clooney being on board for a remake?

I don't even care so much about the rest of it (and frankly I couldn't pick George Clooney out of a lineup hahah) so long as the costume and set design is as amazingly insane and awesome as the first series. Half the time I'm rewatching I'm just ogling the aesthetics and going "okay WHO WOULD EVER THINK TO DO THAT, WHY WOULD YOU ACTIVELY CHOOSE TO DO THAT AND WHY DOES IT ACTUALLY LOOK *GOOD*"

This show also came to mind...and this is probably the nostalgia, but the show seems so firmly and early 2000s show, i feel like it would be ruined. Like the network would make it 3D animation, and not in a cool a way. What would be cool is if they did a continuation of the series that blends 2D and 3D animation, in some interesting way (thinking like Gankotsu). Much in the vein of Samurai Jack.
