Well, todays secret maker admits they haven't actually seen her in the show and probably think she's a stereotype emo-goth-cutter who listens to MCR. Instead of a perky, happy, smart, loving girl who happens to be a goth.

You're not wrong. If anything, most of the goth-inclined friends I've had were very Abby-esque. Kind of what's loveable about her. Also that they never make a deal about it on the show. She's just...Abby. (And she kicks ass.)
