A good friend of his died, he thinks the horde did it, Jaina is 20ish year old girl, and he does not really note a difference between the demonic horde of yesteryear and the horde of today.

Yeah, clearly he's just a big fat idiot. He should be just like Thrall, that's what players want. Every character ever should be like thrall. We should be raiding Thrall the spellweaver in thrall nexus while thrall, thrall, and thrall help us. Thrall.

I didn't say he was just like Thrall. And I don't want him to be just like Thrall. I play alliance. I'm just saying Varian, as a character in a video game, overreacted.

Trust me, my reaction to the entire event was "well that was unbalanced". We lost Bolvar and they lost Random McHorde-y? Lame. But I think declaring war on the horde when we have a mutual enemy is dumb. He's being over-emotional and making it a worse situation for The Alliance.

But once again, it's a game. I game that I quit playing. =P

He knew good and well that the Horde wasn't at fault for Bolvar's death, he knew that Putress and Varimathras were had done it, and he still went to the Undercity. Not to avenge his friend by killing the people responsible, but to start a war with the Horde.


I don't even think his reasons were entirely because of Bolvar's supposed death (He's either alive, or a member of the Scourge now. We'll see when the Icecrown raid comes out), he wanted to get back at the Horde for his enslavement, and he found the perfect excuse to.


I hope that eventually, he'll stop letting his emotions get the best of him and see the bigger picture, the Scourge is a much bigger threat to the Alliance than the Horde is, and they need to be stopped. And to do that, he'll have to ally himself with the Horde. Or else he'll get his ass kicked.
