Not OP, but royalty sucks. Or in my own personal tastes, there wasn't much else to this character to overwrite my own personal distaste of royalty and hierarchy.

Sidon was the LEAST distasteful use of royalty/special blood lineage in Breath of the Wild, and man did that game love to use royalty and special blood lineage.

Not saying you're wrong or anything! I don't remember my exact thoughts going through the game all too well, but I think it was him just being another example of a special blood lineage, and maybe fandom hyping him up so much and him not matching up to what I had in my head that made me plain neutral about him, rather than a big all time fan. I'm okay with him, he's just not the type I was looking for.

That's fair. I just was thankful for someone who was pretty on our side from the moment we met, even though he didn't know us, and remained a positive force in Link's life. Usually it feels like that person turns out to be an obvious betrayal who was using you for their own ends...
