Kind of cheating a little with this answer, but, fucking Auto Motion Plus, or whatever other name you give that horrible soap opera effect created by doubling the frame rate. I hate it. I hate it so much. I hate it viscerally and immoderately. I get that some people like it for sports and nature docs and such, and that's cool. I don't really watch those things, but I guess I can see how it would be good for that stuff. But oh my god it utterly ruins film as a fictional medium for me, and I'm always kind of stunned that there are people who don't even notice the difference.
