Oh Jesus I hope you're right. I just started the seventh book, and I really want the end to blow my mind as much as the rest has. (Many parts of Song of Susannah had me going WAT?!!? WAT?!?!!? in the best of ways.)

My friend who has similar tastes to mine said she liked the ending, too. And she is a very intelligent lady. So be reassured, at least a bit. :3

Although the whole book will break your heart.

It has really become my favourite book series. I love the meta-ness of it, I love the fact that these aren't character types I can say I've seen elsewhere, I love how it handles stream-of-consciousness storytelling well, I love that it really is predictable, and I FUCKING LOVE OY OH MY GOD.

Um, really ISN'T predictable!!!! Ow.

I love how almost EVERY SINGLE STEPHEN KING BOOK EVER is all connected. At first I was annoyed that he stuck himself in his own book, but then I actually read the 6th book, and I loved it. The whole series is so unlike anything Stephen King has written, I love them. It's hard to get people to read the series, though.

OP, un-anon because I am thrilled to see that there are other people who share my opinion! I thought I was going to get attacked by the rabid haters. Yay! <3

Yay! It took me a day to get used to the end, but then I thought about it and realized how perfect it was. *dances* I'm just glad to find other people who like the series, there's SO many people who haven't read the books and I don't know anyone in real life that has.

I know. I've tried to tell some of my friends who have read Harry Potter and Twilight and were disappointed by the neat, pat happy endings of those series, that they need to read the Dark Tower series. No one listens to me. =\

Humph. People these days have no taste. I suggest holding hostages until they read the first three books, and definitely start them on the rewritten first book.

I remember having to take a break from it at one point because I actually couldn't keep reading. And I love the ending, I don't see how else it could have been done.

Oh, I know. I was tearing up at that part, but then the car crash happened, and I was a wreck.

Yeah, I think I pretty much cried my way through the rest of it.
