129. I recognized that it would be Kataang endgame from the beginning, but that wasn't reason enough for me to ship it as my ideal pairing. I saw that the creators were pushing a "WE'RE SO CLOSE AND CONNECTED" relationship, but what turned me off is that they didn't do the same (albeit in a platonic way) between Sokka and Katara. As if Katara would really automatically be closer to a stranger than to her own brother?

Basically I was resentful of Kataang from the beginning because I felt like it de-emphasized the familial closeness between Sokka and Katara, just so that Katara and Aang's relationship would appear more "special." And as the series progress, I was proved right.

132. If you can't get the image of pretty boys out of your head, then you're not taking it seriously, and you'll never get where you want to be. There are too many intelligent, ambitious people out there who take this stuff seriously, and when the competition heats up you won't stand a chance against them.

I just found it obvious, boring and too sibling like (not that sibling relationships can't be fun, just not the same way as romantic relationships).

Anon is only correct if this continues for more than, say, a month or two. Or however long obsession phases usually last for you. Of course you can't take work seriously if you're obsessing about something else. If it doesn't subside relatively soon to the point where you can either banish or ignore it, remove the source; and if that doesn't help, I suggest career counseling.
