Ozymandias wasn't an idealist, he was a narcissistic meglomaniac. When Obama starts saying things like, "I don't mind being the smartest man in the world, I just wish it wasn't this one," then I'll start to worry.

Ty. I've heard so many criticisms of Obama that are just so vastly removed from any knowledge of politics, history, or indeed *reality*, that it's scary! The way he's regarded as being so much horrifically worse than any other president the US ever had is weird as well.

THIS. Thank you. One of the things I love about Obama is that he's happy and willing to consider the ideas and opinions of others, including former rivals and members of the other party. Adrian/Ozymandias had a god complex and needed to do everything by himself, which was just one of his problems (highly questionable morality being another). Also, I've never seen anything to suggest that Obama would do something like what happens at the end of Watchmen. Why the offensive comparison? Why the hate?
