I understand that, but I was going off the words of the OP: "This made me lose respect for my fandom". Not "part of my fandom", not "the people I've seen supporting it at other journals". "My fandom", as in a whole. If you're seeing specific people actively supporting it and you want to think less of them because of it, that's fine. I understand that. Completely. Like I said before, I wasn't comfortable with the kiddie prompts either and I've steered clear of any discussions about those prompts. But that's not the same point the OP made. Maybe he/she was trying to, but they weren't clear enough?

Oh yeah, I definitely understand that. People tend to generalize and that sucks because it isn't everyone.

The fact is, people who were upset by the child porn in that meme had to say so behind a f-lock. They couldn't say it loudly and publically, because for some fucked-up reason, they would be the Bad Guys. They would be the judgemental, nasty people for saying 'kiddie porn is WRONG.'

Fandom as a whole seemed to me to be on the side of the kiddie-porn lovers, and that was not okay in my view.

Also, retrospectively, I probably should have said 'part of my fandom'. :P
