I heard that the FBI is at the point of begging people to stop reporting "drawn CP" and even changed the term to specify "indistinguishable from a living breathing child"

Drawings are not CP. We need a word for content that causes the harm of living breathing children. Not cartoons. Cartoons are not real. They don't need protection, real children do

Not just the FBI. Pretty much every single organization that deals with reports of CP or CSA is somewhere on the spectrum of begging people to cut it the fuck out and wanting to strangle the next motherfucker who reports an anime loli as CP with their bare hands. The reports need to be investigated, which puts a strain on resources that are already stretched thinner than they really ought to be. It's infuriating.

It frustrates me a lot that drawn (and written) CP is considered CP material in my country (Australia) and that just gives ammunition to antis. It's a stupid law, badly applied in many ways - the age of consent is 16, but 16-year-olds sexting each other with pictures of themselves have been put on the sex offenders registry.
