Jack/Gwen is love. I was totally rooting for it until they upped Rhys's screentime and made me fall for Gwen/Rhys too. Now Jack/Gwen is still love, but Rhys is good for her, and I don't know if Jack would've been able to make her as happy.

The sexual tension between Jack and Gwen is delicious, but their platonic relationship is a world of awesome all of its own, and I don't want an affair between them to be milked for drama and all the love and squee of the current situation be ruined. It would break my fannish heart. XD;;

Would you be cool if they followed through with the original plan and actually killed Rhys? Give Gwen suitable mourning time and then let the UST do what it so very desperately needs to do?

I equate Jack/Gwen with Stabler/Benson from L&O:SVU. I want them to love each other deeply, but keep it platonic. I think it's refreshing to see male/female love and friendship that doesn't always have to be about sex. Then there's the will they-won't they dance that ruins TV shows. I mean it's so freakin' predictable. How many shows has it ruined already???

Oh my god yes :O Thank you~ I long for a show where opposite-sex friends don't have to automatically touch genitalia to take said friendship to it's peak level. I like Jack doting on Gwen, I like Gwen worrying about Jack and wanting to care for him, BUT Gwen is MARRIED to Rhys. That screenshot of her -as another person mentioned with the nostrovite mom- was her last temptation before running headlong into being loyal to Rhys.

Which warmed my fannish heart and made me love Gwen a little bit more.
