Bro he was still an asshole just not as much of one as initially thought.

The weird cult people have for Driver is right up there with Depp.

Same, I tried to listen to a few episodes a while back when people recced it to me, but after hearing them get fact after fact wrong on the crime they were talking about, I had to turn it off. If you arent even going to try and get your facts straight--ugh.

Long story short, it seems like a dicey translation was responsible for the "assault" wording, but Lídia Franco does still maintain that she feels Driver was inconsiderate when filming a rather physical scene. Overall not as bad as was originally feared, but not great either.

And I would say that the wording of the secret doesn't make the full truth of the situation clear at all, especially the B!S.

I'm actually still annoyed that his dislike of seeing his acting made him walk out of a npr interview, like....that's assholish enough, so I too am glad he's not physically abusive.

I feel like this song got pulled into the negative orbit of Macklemore's verse, but usually that phrasing would go without comment (and like...it's a personal comment in a song, the singer can feel like that if she wants).
