(Anonymous) 2009-01-22 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)I'll just come out and say it: it's way easier for me to admit something behind a mask, even if it's a mask your friends (but only your friends) can see through. I need to admit it, but it's hard to admit on your own journal.
(I'll also go into... well, my family reads my LJ, and know about my fandom activities, but I don't really want to clue them into what turns me on, yanno? And I don't like locking posts, because my father can tell when I've locked something. "You posted something we can't see!")
We've all got pet peeves, though. I get it. Personally, I can't stand "I SHIP IT" or "I'D HIT THAT" secrets, and I know it's slightly irrational.
