Do you mind if I ask why? I have a couple of friends who feel the same way, but it's genuinely just something I don't understand-- to me, the people I "know" are the characters rather than the actors, so it even kind of runs up to the point that I don't even mind when an actor does something super shitty or something. Because to me the character I love isn't really that person, if that makes sense. Does it feel different to you?

No yeah, what you said definitely makes sense. For me, I guess it makes me feel a little sad because I’m enjoying the characters and their interactions make me happy, but then the actors who brought those characters to life weren’t happy working together and it gives me a weird, almost guilty feeling to be enjoying something when they were miserable together.

I know it doesn’t make a lot of sense because there are lots of people working together on a show or movie that may not like each other either, but it only bothers me when it’s actors who don’t like each other and they’re playing best friends.

DA

it gives me a weird, almost guilty feeling to be enjoying something when they were miserable together.

That makes a lot of sense to me :). Especially if there's serious reasons behind why they didn't get along-it's one thing for actors to just not really click or anything, but then there's stories about actors who've treated their co-workers like total shit. In those cases, yeah, I think your feeling is even more understandable.

On a much lighter note, I always get a kick out of the stories of people who play characters who can't stand each other, but off the set, the actors are close friends :D. It makes their scenes where they're fighting all the more entertaining somehow, because you know they're likely having great fun with it.

Ooh, yes! I love finding out that actors who played enemies or whatever are good friends off screen. :)
