Mostly annoyed, because...I liked/like my parents. I enjoyed spending time with them, talking, hearing stories. I liked going places with them. Family stuff was *fun*.

So i mostly am irritated by that 'omg my parents are so embarrassing!!!' thing in tv/movies/stories about parents. Often because the parents as portrayed aren't actually embarrassing (or, aren't unless you're just a jerk).

I just don't really like the whole 'omg, get away from my parents' thing when the parents in question aren't abusive, mean, cold fish, etc.
