Eh.

If Dawn Summers has eleven toes in a fic and it doesn't rate a mention beyond a throwaway line about getting charged extra for a pedicure, is that really a problem? Maybe someone gets some polydactyly solidarity feels, but realistically, there's no compelling reason to make a major storyline out of it. People want to be represented in fluff and smut and dumb coffee shop AUs too, not just in PSAs about What Makes Them Special.

unless you're writing a foot fetish fic, I can't imagine anyone tagging their fic to announce that a character has eleven toes.

now that I've written that, I need to go see if I can prove myself wrong on Ao3
