I love TLJ, and what it did with the story. OTOH, my one qualm with TLJ is that I feel it left the story in a place where there was basically no hope for it to be satisfyingly resolved in just one more movie. That's not to say Rian Johnson couldn't have done a better job of the third one than what we got. I absolutely believe he could have done a much better job. But TROS could've been a lot better and still been kind of a fumble. I just don't believe he could've made a third movie that satisfyingly concluded the story set up by the first two. Unless the third movie was five hours long.

I came out of TLJ feeling like, "Oh man, if only this were a pentalogy I would be so. fucking. excited for the next three movies."
