I never felt he had all that much control or input into AtS at any point. That didn't stop him from screwing over CC so...

Also: his screenwriting and directing for the Buffyverse never made anyone feel that way before

Um...you can speak for your own experience, but not everyone else's. None of these allegations are criticisms are new. Certain details might be, but there was a lot of people pointing out he wasn't shit despite his "feminist cred" even back then.
