Well, the first step to finding a spine is showing somebody. If you want to float me a link on AIM or something I'd still be happy to have a look at your videos - I'm always happy to meet people who like FF AMVs but agree that the rest of the community's preoccupation with sparkles, horrible plotlines and bizarre crossover pairings is kind of ridiculous.

I'm not entirely sure myself. I've never been raped or assaulted. I used to find non-con/rape appealing in that weird way. And when I've seen other characters in rape fanart, it never bothered me. But something about that one fanart with that one character just ruined me absolutely.

It was probably because I found that character so completely innocent and pure and seeing them violated in such a way seemed so wrong to me. I'm actually ashamed I haven't before found all instances of rape so wrong, and this is why I'm so bothered by it.

Anyway... sorry for talking your ear off.
