Compared to House, Wilson is pretty dang nice...

Actually, no, he's not. See, that's the thing. Everyone always compares him to House without ever really paying attention to the show - Wilson is House inside out. House pretends he doesn't care and acts like an ass. Wilson pretends he cares and acts like the nice guy. Sometimes it's legit (just like how it's sometimes legit with House), but more often than not, Wilson is just faking being nice in order to be a manipulative bastard. It's how he gets people to trust him: smiling, being polite. Then he uses that trust to work for him. Just like House counts on his being an ass to get away with shit. Watch Wilson next time - the two people he manipulates most are House and Cuddy. You'll see it if you pay attention.

You have a point there.

I never said that he was "a nice guy", I said that compared to House he is. Yes, he's manipulative in his own way, but pretty much everyone on the show is manipulative in some way (except possibly Kutner...'cause he's a bit naive, though he probably has manipulative moments that I missed somewhere along the line).

I do pay attention, and I'm aware that Wilson isn't really completely a nice guy but, as I said, compared to House, he ain't too shabby.

ALSO! I think Wilson's divorces have more to do with his own emotional issues than any manipulation on his part.

I'd like to present to you a stunning possibility: I watch the show and pay attention, I simply disagree with you.
