What are some of your most valuable possessions

That are actually not worth money.

Every single cat toy that I've ever gotten for my precious kitty, plus her cat bed, 2 cat trees, fountain, and various scratchers. She's a spoiled kitty and I love spoiling her. Very few things are more valuable to me than her happiness.

All of the time I've gotten to spend with her since she was placed in my life. Every slow blink she's ever sent my way. Every play session we've had together. The times I watch her sleep, especially when she's sleeping at the foot of my bed. The times she just rubs herself against me to let me know she's there and to remind the world I belong to her.

Basically, she's the best thing in my life, and everything about her are the most valuable things in my life.

Second edition copies of Lord of the Rings, very well-loved. Me and those books have been through such a lot together.

The stuffed dalmatian I've had since I was a kid. It still has the sewing my grandma did on it when its tail flew off.

My waterbed.

Technically waterbeds are worth money, but this one is literally 35 years old, at least the frame. Have replaced the mattress and heating element twice. Got it when I was a kid, got so used to it I never gave it up, had to use other options in apartments where it wasn't allowed, but I am so glad I have it right now because it is like a giant heating pad for my whole pain-riddled body and if I have to spend most of the rest of my life in bed, there is no better bed to be in.

More nerdily... signed copy of the Vagrant Story OST by Sakimoto (favorite game ever, second favorite OST ever), and my fairly cheap and slightly broken cell phone that I can use to play Pokemon Go, which is about the only thing other than my pets keeping me from just lying in the waterbed all day every day.

(I'm going to assume pets don't count because they're more family members than "possessions".)

A doll that I've had since I was two years old. A relative made her for me. Time has clearly weathered her some-she's lost some of her hair, a couple of her fingers are cracked, and she had an apron that I lost way back when I was a kid.

But she's been a good source of comfort for me over the years, and since she was made for me, well, that makes her special, too :).

I'd also add a blanket that my grandma made for me that I've had since I was a baby.

The books of Greek plays my father used in school.
The black and white Checkered Horse that I've had since I was like four.
My rings.
My family photos and keepsakes, like the tiny pocket knife that was my dad's, and the little china angels my paternal grandmother gave me when I was one and two.

My baby blanket. I’m wrapped up in it right now.

a pair of earrings and a necklace that belonged to my father's mother who held onto it through WW2 and her displacement.

My dads hat and favorite aftershave. (he passed away 5 years ago)

My very first bunny plush. Going strong more than 25 years later.

My bedside table stuffed full of my teenage diaries, dream transcripts, dreadful handwritten fanfiction from before computers were really a household thing, sketches, and letters from old friends/lovers. Of interest to absolutely no-one but me, but utterly devastatingly irreplaceable if lost.
