And these aren't small posts, they get hundreds of notes

lolwut

that's... basically nothing. I have five followers who aren't pornbots, and I've had posts get that big. hundreds of notes? dear lord, call the papers~

Seems pretty convenient that a couple of hundred notes is "basically nothing" to you. Maybe it's not a viral post, but it proves something that you clearly can't admit about this vocal minority.

Oh my god. Look, I just opened Tumblr, and the first post on my dash was a text post. It's pretty short, so I'm just gonna copy-paste it.
What I would give to eat lunch with my friends in school and peel the sticker off my fruit and put it on their clothes and say "you cost 60 cents" or "you're a pear." I miss that.

That post has 28,793 notes. In internet terms, your "vocal minority" is as meaningful as the man standing on the street corner shouting about lizardmen from the moon. That's not a position that needs to be refuted by considered debate, it just needs to be laughed at and then ignored.

You really believe that nobody could have a negative experience with proshippers strongly enough that you compare someone trying to tell an anecdote about it to conspiracy theorists? Nobody is really saying(in good faith) that pros are on the same level as antis. But you're resisting the thought that any individuals could be bad so hard, it seems strange. And you're using numbers of notes as some kind of ridiculous proof, like conservative assholes bragging about "ratios" on Twitter.

And it's also a bit disingenuous to compare the audience for funny textposts(one of the only fun things on Tumblr most of the time) to shipping politics. That's why I called the people that tell their experiences with individually bad proshippers a vocal minority. Because they're a very tiny part of the whole conversation. Probably because there is significantly less stories to tell compared to anti horror stories. But you refuse to believe any of them could be telling the truth, just because a niche part of the shipping community... is niche.
