One side is creating the same kind of fiction that's readily available in a school library, as long as the evangelicals haven't already held a book-burning in your district.

The other side is telling the first side that they're criminals who should commit suicide.

My experience is the same as OPs, a bunch of obnoxious people on both sides who place shipping way too much as a part of their identity.
