I mean, some filk is okay..? Cringe if you don't know the book, and often badly recorded if it's from the right era, but ... okay, I guess. Like... I dunno, Signy Mallory by Mercedes Lackey or whatever.

I thought it was a dated concept these days.

Don't youtubers just do nicely self-produced songs about that stuff now? Like ... Karliene, Miracle of Sound, JT Music, Dan Bull... that sort of ilk? Hasn't filk mostly been replaced by that these days?
