I may be a little sensitive from the thinly-veiled antisemitic comments that were going around about Gadot last year. When there are a lot of bad-faith actors popping up, I start to assume bad faith from the start.


That said.

What is the fucking point of a secret like this?

It's boring. It's mean. If OP had farted in an elevator instead of posting this, it would have been a better use of their time.

I'm not sure it's useful, healthy OR accurate to automatically assume anti-Semitism when a Jewish actor receives a critique about their acting ability. I understand why you and others might feel a little hair-trigger touchy about this, though.

Arguing that a secret shouldn't exist because it's boring isn't a great look, either - especially if you're also the anon arguing that saying Gal Gadot can't act is mean and shouldn't be said. You're not the arbiter of which secrets are worthy and which aren't, and I suspect that's not really a role you want but your anger and fatigue about Gadot and anti-Semitism is putting you in a bad headspace. To remedy that, you might consider stepping away from the internet for a while and giving yourself a break. That's a far more reasonable (and achievable) goal that trying to shout down random secrets on FS because you don't like them.

It's a secret. That's the point. It's to generate discussion. People ARE going to disagree about an opinion. That's why it's a secret. You are proving OP's post belongs here.

Besides, you can think someone is okay but still find their acting skills lacking. It's not like OP is calling Gadot a bad person, and certainly not because of where she was born. They're just criticizing her ability to act.
