Re: Bathing question

There were so many comments accusing the every time towel washers as having weak immune systems and others saying even if you do them frequently such as every week you’re still gross. It was so funny how people police the comfort levels of others! I think several weeks without changing towels is weird but it’s not my skin/bath time so I don’t really care.

I don’t know what it’s like to suffer it but the eczema thing makes those parents sound perfectly reasonable tbh. If a bath or shower every night causes their kids real discomfort, isn’t that worse? Wow, people throw around child abuse too easily. Aren’t really young babies often only given a shallow bath with a soft sponge every couple of days or so as well? That’s what my sister did and she said it was fine. My niece and nephew are still alive so it clearly didn’t do any harm.

People have an instinctive feel for what's right for them I think. It's mad to me that others get angry about it.

Most of my parent's generation grew up with a once a week bath night and flannel wash the other nights and they all survived. Yeah babies you only bathe infrequently.

People are far too quick to throw that phrase around these days.
