The Muses and the style they sing/the words they use make zero sense in an Ancient Greek context but honestly I still love the Gospel Truth.

I loved Greek mythology from a way younger age Vs when this film was released but I also enjoy this film, incorrect myths, flaws and all. Even after I saw that video essay about all the non-mythological (but narrative) issues with it I was still like "whatever, I agree...but I still like it."

I actually think it's a good translation of greek style into modern US-ian understanding (gospel choir as chorus is just inspired imo), but yeah, it makes 0 sense as modern or ancient greek.

Then again, neither does casting Hades as the villain (again), the weirdly lovey dovey relationship of Zeus and Hera and actually not using Heracles instead of Hercules so I guess if you're already this inaccurate, going the distace to make it fully inaccurate is fine imo.
