I was just thinking about starting a thread for this because yeah, this hits. I mean I only found out about a year ago that she was still alive and went "oh wow" given that the settings of some of her books were very obviously time periods long before I was born. Like the bit in Emily's Runaway Imagination where the car, the first one she's ever ridden in, is speeding along at an amazing 25 mph! XD That might have been my favorite, though in hindsight I remember some stuff I maybe don't want to revisit too closely...

And I dunno if it was just me or if every small girl with a strong stubborn streak wound up getting compared to Ramona constantly, hahah. I couldn't be mad.
