I really don't have a horse in this race but I have a friend on social media who works in the game industry. When they reacted with shock (and a bit of schadenfreude) that Cyberpunk was literally recalled - blacklisted from both Microsoft and PSN - I understood the level of shitshow this turned out to be.

It's not just "buggy," OP, for a lot of people using updated consoles and equipment, it was unplayable. As in, would not load, crashed repeatedly wihtout saving, etc. Did those other games get pulled from the stores until the gamedev made them playable? Did the gamedevs get forced to offer refunds for people who found the game unplayable on their systems? No? Then it's not the same level as buggy. Yeah yeah not all gamers had the same issue but ffs enough of them did that Sony and Microsoft were offering refunds. That almost never happens. That's a sign of something much worse than a few bugs.

"but why did you expect previous gen was able to run this game," say people willfully ignoring the fact CP2077 was supposed to come out in spring 2020.

op

not going to lie, fascinated by the people in this thread who saw me make a secret about how everyone is talking about the bugs in a game who thought "oh boy, i should explain to op how buggy the game is they don't seem to have heard"

OP, no offence, and I get your frustration about wishing you could see all the writing/ characters/whatever discourse instead of The Bugs ™ one, but the real truth is, The Bugs ™ are really THAT BAD. The Bugs ™ and the optimization are so fucking bad I, and many, MANY other ppl, had to give up on playing the game and refund it on my ps4, so there's a lot more vocal ppl out there who encountered the bugs than played through the game lmao, sorry not sorry
I do however also wish there was more critics about the writing of the game, but I also do intend to engage with that AFTER I get to play it, which idk when at this point, it's still not back at PSstore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

thank you for telling me that the bugs are bad, i'm glad someone told me because no one had brought up that point before
