Inspirational characters

Who are the most inspirational characters for you. Not ones you relate to, but ones you aspire to be like, the ones that motivate you.

For me, the biggest one would be G'Kar from Babylon 5. Leia Organa is another one, even though I relate to her a little. Atticus Finch is an inspiration to me both as a lawyer and as a human being. I find the 12th Doctor particularly inspirational with his desire to always be kind. And Captain America, who has a ton of trauma, PTSD, and probably other mental health issues, and yet still gets things done and is out there helping people and doing his job.

I really admired Kenshin when I was younger because he worked so hard to atone for the sins of his past and was a kindhearted person without being a doormat when the situation called for it. He really inspired me and it crushed my heart when his creator was revealed to be a monster who only got a light slap on the wrist as punishment.

Oh man. I used to watch that one as a teenager too, at least the English version. I know nothing about the creator, though. That's disappointing and awful to hear.

Both Aubrey and Maturin from the Aubreyad. Specifically Jack's fortitude and forbearance, and Stephen's shrewdness and moral strength.

I've had a REALLY weird gender journey, and the song 'A Little More Mascara' got me through some things.
