Yeah, shit, non-consensual therapy sucks.

In my personal experience, I have to say it wasn't necessarily unwarranted or unhelpful, in the long run. But for balance, some of my friends have very different experiences (i.e. found it supremely unhelpful and/or damaging).

In general, I like the portrayal of therapy in the show so far. The therapist seems like she's offering pretty reasonable advice, with pure intentions, but it doesn't always align with what Bucky is willing or able to do at the moment.

Considering probably 90% of people would benefit from therapy being forced to go sucks because: you refuse to admit what's wrong with you; when they tell you what's wrong with you but that's not what's wrong with you; when they force you to see a particular therapist even if they're not good or not clicking.

But theoretically there is absolutely nothing wrong with being forced to go to therapy. The people who need it the most are often the ones who refuse the hardest to go.
