Yeah, I'm thinking the same frankly. It was the first time I ever tried to go for it (outside of papers during uni or that kind of thing) and it's probably the last too. I can appreciate how hard it is to find a GOOD and consistent beta, and I hold nothing against folks who forgo them altogether. Between updates (not everyone has the story prewritten, or a consistent update schedule) and RL commitments taking precedence (not even including "I'm not about this fandom right now" which is akin to reading a book you have no interest in reading), I've come to realize the beta life is not for me :/
