Of course there are. But you can like stories about superheroes, and like particular characters from a given series, and still not be into the style of art that's popular for superheroes at the moment....

But that doesn't make any sense if you, like, regularly read comics. I posted further down, but even a single series will have multiple artists working on it. If you pick up a trade paperback, each "chapter" (or, really issue) may be in a totally different art style.

It's actually pretty rare to find any series that consistently uses the same artist. It's more common from indies, small publishers, and non-superhero stuff. But in the flagships? Heck no. Not unless the author is the same person writing it, like with the Sean Murphy Batman White Knight series.

i feel you, OP. for the last 20 years every time a superhero flick came out i would attempt to meander into the comics, only to be repulsed by the art. i eventually realised it's just not my jam.

kind of a bummer, tbh. i do like the characters and the stories.

Misfire?

To be fair, in a lot of comic runs Eddie is a giant ass.

Ayrt

Oops, yes, lol!

There are comics with art I love, and comics with writing I love, and annoyingly little overlap between the two...

Yeah, I'm the same. I like graphic novels, I like some of the Marvel characters a lot, I just can't get into that kind of art.

Even a single series can have, like, a half dozen artists working on it. Just find a different one, my dude.
