What did you like more when it was in started?

So many things. I prefer plot-of-the-week type shows over long plot arcs and lots of shows transition from the first to the second over time.

In particular, Scandal. I was on board for the 1st season and then it totally changed and lost me.

Pretty much everything. I usually lose interest somewhere around the second or third season, when the writing is running out of steam or the show is changing direction or the original actors leave or it's just getting plain stupid...

The Magnus Archives and Welcome to Night Vale. As soon as they switched from one stories about creepy stuff to an overarching plot, I tapped out.

I was really into the first two seasons of Castle, to the point I own them on DVD. I still watched until I think Season 6, but I kind of feel like it lost something even way back between S2 & S3.

House. Bones. Grey's Anatomy. Supernatural. Game of Thrones. CSI. Criminal Minds (though I liked it all other than parts of the last season, it was certainly better earlier on).

I was super into the first Jak & Daxter but the sequel put me off the franchise altogether.

Was really into the first few seasons of Shameless but it lost more of its soul with each passing year.

Strongly seconding Shameless. When it was good it was really good, but with the type of show it was, it just couldn't afford to lose its edge at all. It was a brutally tragic story iced in a thick layer of crude absurdity, and as soon as those elements started to feel stale, it just didn't work anymore.
