yes, sex, but no to sexual literature, no to roleplaying out sex online with other people, too much like lolcybersex to me. what's the difference between someone in a chat room going 'i put my arms around u' and someone in an rp doing the same thing with a character? it's funny to me. like sex in general

Ah, hmm.... well, I know that things like cybersex certainly don't work for me. But it's different with characters. Or rather, the sort of RP smut that I appreciate tends to be between two fandom characters with a developed relationship. I don't just read every random NC-17 log I see, or anything like that.

Hmm.... so, it's more personal...? Or rather, more personal to the people involved. Alas, I guess this means I'm turned on by love XD I don't exactly revel in non-consensual RP for example, at any rate. But I'd much rather read a log between a developed, established pairing of my choice than, say, look at porn/watch a porno. Different strokes for different folks, then! Ha, I had to get that phrase in somewhere.

This is very strange to explain! But yeah, I guess it's a little something like that. Suffice it to say that, to me personally, cybersex and character RP sex are different things. Or something like that. Hahaha, coherency~?

Oh, 'people involved' meaning the characters, not the players. I find it hotter to imagine some OTP of mine as opposed to Person A and Person B, no matter how attractive they're supposed to be.

no no im the same, things like sex scenes in movies turn me on too, but because of the characters and their relationship, not because of the sex. i can read smut logs without problems, and sometimes they turn me on too, but it's different reading and watching them and writing them yourself interactively with another person, or at least to me

In that case, yeah, I do feel inclined to agree! And yeah, in response to your other comment, getting trapped in an UNEXPECTED SMUT LOG is really not fun. Not that I've had much experience with that, but... :x not good.

I think my opinion in brief, then, must be something like - smut log with actual character development = ftw~
