To answer your question: It's because she's dealing with this happening and you're not. Neither am I. If we were Koreans and knew what was really going on outside of news reports and this and that, we could talk. But we don't.
*(Or you could totally be trolling, but since I'm terrible at spotting trolls unless they're obvious, and I'd be the sucker. Either way.)

(Anonymous) 2009-01-29 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)It would be idiotic to assume that one Korean who isn't offended speaks for the whole country. I mean, clearly, some Koreans ARE offended by the portrayal of Korea in Hetalia. Because that's what caused this business in the first place.
If I'm going to pick one Korean person's opinion about what's the right side in this debate (instead of deciding on my own, lawls), I could choose to be either offended or not offended. :/

Oh wait, you can't, because I'm not. I'm saying that hey, you don't know what's going on and I don't either, so we shouldn't judge (key word: judge. Not that we shouldn't have an opinion). I don't really give a shit what's right or wrong because it's not about that; it's about you knocking her right to an opinion. If you can have one and I can have one, so can she and no, she doesn't need to go cry moar instead.
