No, no, that makes perfect sense to me. When you're low, another person going to an effort to make things nice for you, to bring warmth and light into your day, that can be such an intensely meaningful thing.

I'm 30, and I still daydream about stuff like that too. I'm a strong, independent person, but damn it sounds nice to have someone just take care of you and do something nice for you without having to ask for it.

It doesn't sound pathetic at all, OP. I daydream about that happening to me too. I also pretend I'm a princess like Sara does whenever I'm dealing with terrible people at work. It helps keep me calm.

i think being loved enough that people will transgress social rules for you is like the a grand majority of fiction about good relationships, so I think it's a very common not at all pathetic desire.
