The problem is that Graham Lineham's writing is just too dated. Even in 2006. There are good moments, but mostly it fell flat for me. Weirdly though, I loved the actual actors despite the show.

Father Ted and its setting was perfect for Lineham's style and humour. I haven't seen anything else by him that's really suited his strong points as well.

I loved Father Ted, but it's the only work of Lineham's that I enjoyed.

I continue to love Black Books, although that’s at least half Dylan Moran’s writing
