(Anonymous) 2009-01-30 03:00 am (UTC)(link)If you have the chance to go out there and do something, do it. Take the chance to develope the skills I never got. Learn what real people are like, not people who do exactly what the great puppetmaster who ships them does.

(Anonymous) 2009-01-30 12:36 pm (UTC)(link)I could go out in the world, but I have a whole pile of anxiety issues and they make me want to just stay isolated. Except I fear that looking back in the future I will regret not having done more to develop my social skills, even if it means gritting my teeth and facing my anxiety. I kind of feel like if I didn't have fandom I'd be forced to go face real life, because otherwise I'd be so fucking bored out of my skull I'd go crazy. But as it is I have my nice little socially isolated bubble and I enjoy it here, so I don't have a strong motivation to venture into the outside world.
