I wanted an American Girl doll when I was a kid, but we were poor and I knew better than to ask for one. The wanting really stuck with me because when I got my first adult job, one of the first things I did with my paycheck was buy Molly and a bunch of her outfits.

Me and my sisters each got a Sky Dancer from the church toy drive one Christmas and were super excited because those were the toys everyone wanted that year. We loved aiming them at each other and I got hit in the face with the wings one time. It hurt like hell.

My sister and I used to play with Sky Dancers while jumping on the trampoline. I can definitely understand why they were banned for a while because of eye injuries.

American doll! I saved up quite a few birthday cash from family members to buy that doll because my parents were not going to spend $80 on a doll (you couldn't even customize fully at the time/options were limited).

I did enjoy having her (still do) and i got to play with her as a kid and I'm pretty sure later on when I babysat, i brought her over so the child i was babysitting could okay with her doll and mine too.
