I was the last girl at my day camp to get a Tamagotchi. I remember calling all the toy stores in the area with my mom to ask if they had any, and they were all sold out. Then, I don't remember how, one of us got the idea to check with Kids R Us (kids' clothing store) and they said they had some. And I was extra happy because the one I picked out was a pretty turquoise with pink buttons, and I was the only one at camp who had that color. Most girls had the bright green one, which I think they got because it was the least popular color and the only one left in stores most of the time.
