104. That description matches GW fanon so close it's eerie. I don't blame you for connecting the two in your head. If I read the books, I'm sure I would.

130. I just discovered Vocaloid a couple weeks ago, and I'm enamored with it. I can't even explain why. It's just incredibly charming. If I'm in a crappy mood, I search for it on YouTube and it just brightens everything up. Wish I could help you figure out why everyone loves them, but I can't even figure out why I do.

158. At what point in the game are you drawing his characterization from? Start-of-game Joshua is very very different from end-of-game Joshua. Either way, you're not him or his twin. I'm sick of the idea that you are any character you relate to. People relate to other people all the time; that doesn't mean they are the same person! Same holds true for fictional characters. There's nothing wrong with relating - hell, I do it all the time - but you need to keep a grip on reality and realize that soulbonding is bullshit. Also, you are you. Define yourself as your own character. That's what you should strive for.

163. I... do that too, kind of. Not with Spanish, but when memorizing speeches or whatever. It's fun. :D

164. The first time I watched the series, I really hated him, just because his personality grated on me. Knowing his whole backstory and the person he ends up being, though, I can watch the earlier stuff and not get too annoyed with him. I'm not sure why he gets so much hate, but I can definitely understand some of it.

168. Me too, bb. It was middle school for me, but back then, Buffy made me feel like I could take on anything.

Regarding Joshua, I think I actually have to... half agree with you on that? Joshua grew some himself during the Game, probably more than he realizes, but I really don't think he changed very, very much from the start of the game to the end of it. We do learn a whole lot about him by the end that suddenly sheds light on everything, but part of the reason I love his character is that he seems to have been planning for, and hoping for, things to turn out the way they did in the end since the start of the game. Hanekoma manipulated things more than he was planning for, but Joshua definitely was edging Neku towards doing what he did in the end.

OF COURSE I MAY BE WRONG, but that's how it hit me when I first played. It's been a while though. :C I just get the feeling that he was working towards Shibuya surviving from the beginning, while being entirely set and willing to destroy it to keep it from infecting the rest of the UG, on a worst-case scenario -- he's just. A dick. 8|

Oh, I agree with that assessment completely. :) Sorry I wasn't clear. I was referring more to his interactions with people, and him actually becoming more human. For example, I don't think Joshua of Week 2 would've been willing to bring back not just Neku, but also all of his friends, including some who legitimately lost, and risk getting into even more trouble with the higher ups. I think by the end that Neku is more than just a pawn to him, and to me, that's a pretty big step for someone like Joshua.

Oh, yeah, definitely! That clears it up a lot for me -- in fact, I feel like that's the part of him that did majorly change that he... probably doesn't realize has changed, or realizes but is trying to not notice. Because I can't see someone like Joshua accepting his own growth too easily. XD But yes, I agree -- even in Week 2, Joshua probably wouldn't have brought back all of them (though I've always assumed he'll bring back most if not all of the Reapers that got offed, just for kicks -- dunno why exactly). And I love how by the end of the game, he seems lonely, watching over them. Makes me hope for the best for him ~~and that he'll eventually remove the stick :P~~
