108. I'm feeling you, OP. :/ I don't really get it either. Superiority complex? Maybe being a "fan" of something is more like tacking one more adjective to themselves, so they feel cultured and 'speshul'? I have no idea. I don't like it when batshit crazy people swarm a com and cause wank and say ridiculous things, but the larger your fandom is, the easier it is to *ignore* the crazies.

137. Actually, I'm a bit this way too. I do believe the Kinsey scale thing, where you have levels of bisexuality. I mean, in fic it can always work out okay - "I'm straight, except... wait, my same-sex friend is awesome and I'm in love with them. Okay, guess we're all pansexual." But in real life I've known people who thought they were bisexual, got together with same-sex friends, and then later turned around and said they were straight and just fooling themselves. I HAVE NO IDEA.

139. This is exactly why I've never liked Rose even a bit. I don't think they should have gotten together, she wasn't in love with him, but she kept him hanging on when she really, really didn't need him, and the poor boy kept pining after her. Everyone treated him like shit, actually. It made me hate the Doctor for a little while. :|

I don't doubt that there are gay or straight people, but no one can tell me that there isn't even a single exception for them. I just wish I could explain it in a less offensive and ignorant way.

Exactly. Of course there are gay and straight people, who are naturally inclined to be attracted to a member of the opposite or same sex. Maybe I'm just open-minded to the point where my brains have fallen out, I don't really know, but I don't think it's all so black and white as "he/she is straight, they can never fall in love with a member of the same gender, or vice versa." It does sound ignorant, but I don't mean to sound that way, or to offend anyone. I'm just confused about the whole thing, and I think maybe we don't know as much about human sexuality (or anything, lol) as we all think we do.
