Hey hey!!!

I can relate -- between James Dean (the Real One), Heath Ledger, and that one Union Officer's picture I saw when scrolling through the US-Library of Congress photo archives (which I frankly recommend to everyone, there's so much history to be seen there), I too feel messed up from time to time, as these were real people. That are long gone. God rest their souls. But their beauty in that moment was something to behold -- and to be fair, I guess growing up reading historical fiction may have also contributed to that -- falling for certain historical people. I recall thinking that among the early US presidents (this was 9 year old me) think Polk and Madison were the best looking.

If it makes you feel better, I also had mild crushes on different gods. So there's that too. But I'm here with ya, OP. I too have a list of hot dead guys. :/ but also consider that (if they died of old age), perhaps you're remembering them in their prime as well? Unless you're into their last age, which is cool too! Gregory Peck was fine as hell. I don't have any other envisioning of him outside the movies he made in his "youth/prime". Paul Newman. Etc.
