that's why I've only joined one General comm, a "Ladies of Camelot" comm, and a Gwen-centric Comm. I don't want to be too overrun with Merlin/Arthur, much as I ship it.

I can totally understand that. I've actually been thinking about modding a bunch of non-Arthur/Merlin related challenges, but I just can't decide on what type. "Morgana-centric," "Het-Centric," or just "anything but Arthur/Merlin-centric." Though the last one is the most inclusive, I just hate sounding so non-inclusive of M/A fans. I don't want to offend anyone, but dude... WE NEED VARIETY OMG.

You could do an "out of your comfort zone" challenge and challenge people to write a pairing they don't normally write.

No prob. I've been in (and hosted) "out of your comfort zone" challenges and they're really quite fun. You get some interesting stuff when you do that.

That'd be an awesome comm..."Merlin Challenges" or something...

Definitely. If I wasn't already currently hosting a ficathon, I'd make the comm right now. As it is, probably not for another two weeks or so. Keep an eye out for it!

I'd be down for any of that stuff. To be less possibly-offensive, maybe if it were a called something like Merlin Rarepairs Challenges? Because at this point they are -- no one could really deny that.
