152.- Uniforms are really convenient and can be pretty cool. I wish mine had been cute like the anime ones, they were boring. =/ One school in my city had sailor uniforms, and I wished so bad to attend that school, but I was too old. =/

Oh, and you can wear shorts under your skirt to prevent flashing people when the wind blows it up.

You'd think wearing sailor fuku to school is all fun and games. It isn't. Mostly I liked it, but there were two HUGE drawbacks for me:
1. Having to wear short, pleated skirts in a place that's really cold throughout the school year is extremely uncomfortable.
2. Our school was all-girls, and that, combined with the sailor-fuku uniforms, made it a magnet for pedophiles. Seriously. Like, every few months they would arrest men hiding in the bushes around our school and jacking off to prepubescent girls in gym class. It was even worse when the pedophiles managed to fool the administration and become teachers. I have a lot of sad stories about that sort of stuff. :/

#2 happens a lot in catholic girl's schools, too.

Yeah. I mean, I understand a lot of why people would want to wear uniforms, after having been through 9 years of uniform-wearing school. It's convenient, among a lot of other things. But frankly, I just get so thoroughly creeped out when I think about how a school uniform is such a sexualized thing. I mean, if I had a daughter, I'm not sure I'd like to have her go to a school where she's required to wear something that's basically a big, flashing advertisement for pedophiles. :/

Eh...it really depends on your situation. My Junior high school had uniforms, but none of them were the cute sailor-fuku and jackets uniforms of anime or Catholic girls' schools. They were just slacks and collared shirts that only came in a limited range of sizes, so that anybody outside of that range just had to put up with clothes that didn't fit properly.

Oh my god, I'm truly sorry to hear about that. Pedophiles in bushes? That's really scary. That is definitely a down-side. Sometimes after school when I'm out and about, I get "looks."

Yeah, in winter it does get cold, but my school allows leggings and the seniors can wear boots to school if they wish.

My school is all girls too, but I've never heard stories of perverts hiding in bushes and stuff. Might have to ask my teacher about that. XD

Oh I wear shorts. Just sometimes I wear biker ones and it's still a bit embarrassing. :)

Btw, at my school, all the girls in toddlers to kindergarten wear these gray sailor dresses with red bows on it. It's adorable. I remember wearing those...
