I just have a question for my fanfic lol - in America is the upper age limit to pay for child support the same across America (at 18) or is it at different ages - OR does it depend on different circumstances?

It really depends on the state and also on what is in the specific child support agreement. Most often it ends when the child is going to college, but some agreements have the parent still paying when the child is going to college. It varies very much based on case specifics, what judge you get, and other factors.

18 generally, but if the parent paying child support has quite a bit more money than the custodial parent, college is often part of the legal agreement.
