I feel like was a lot of excitement from certain corners? But Cap corners hated it immediately imo, and for good reasons, since it was put about they changed it from "hide and seek with bucky and steve" because they asked rdj to be in and he wouldn't unless they increased the size of his role. Other people just didn't understand how they could possibly translate it from comics to screen because it really only made sense if mutants were involved, and surprise! it didn't make sense.
